Agnar is proud to announce that it will now be providing Black Diamond spill containment products in Australia! Below are the answers to common questions we have received about the new product line.
What is Black Diamond?
Black Diamond is a new line of spill containment products which has been engineered to meet or exceed environmental regulations and save customers’ money. The products are tailored to real-world applications and have passed rigorous testing protocols to ensure maximum performance in the harshest environments.
How does Black Diamond ensure quality performance?
Testing. When a new product is introduced, it is tested continuously to ensure it meets the load ratings provided. The products are then reviewed periodically to ensure the ratings are maintained.
All products are quality performance tested for the following two primary requirements;
Temperature – All products are tested in the “Hot Box”. The Hot Box is an insulated room where products are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods of time. The test for our spill pallet line lasts a period of 7 days, which is longer than a product is traditionally exposed to high temperatures. Because Black Diamond products pass the hot box test, they are guaranteed to perform when the heat is on!
Weight – During the hot box test, we simultaneously test the products with a designated live static load. Again for the spill bund category, the load is maintained on the products for a period of 7 days. The live load imitates the normal working situations for each product.
For example, the Black Diamond 4-Drum Spill Bund is tested with four drums filled with concrete to recreate a tough, real-world application. For the pallet to pass the hot box test, each product must maintain its shape and show zero signs of deterioration for it to pass the weight rating and be provided with approval.

What kind of products are available in Black Diamond through Agnar?
Spill Pallets or Bunding. Bunding is required for the storage of all hazardous liquids. All operators working with bunds should know how to carry out preventive maintenance and use standard operating procedures to stop escaping substances from entering the environment.
Common hazardous materials which require bunding include;
Agricultural chemicals, cleaning agents, detergents and their by-products, engine coolant, fuel dispensing area, wash-water, oil, grease, lubricants and petroleum products, photographic chemicals, waste liquids and solvents.
